For centuries, classically trained art students have started their artistic journey by drawing from classical sculpture.  Following this tradition, Nichola Eddery has designed a bespoke 2-hour masterclass drawing from a famous 19th Century lithograph of a classical bust in the charming Bingham Riverhouse Hotel, Richmond.  This class will take place in their garden rooms overlooking a beautifully landscaped terrace and walled garden with the River Thames as a backdrop.  After the lesson, you will have time to relax on the terrace, order a drink, and share your drawing experience with the group.

Nichola is a classically trained fine art teacher and professional artist who has exhibited in London and internationally.  She studied at renowned ateliers in Italy, France and America for several years to learn traditional methods dating back to the Renaissance masters.  Mrs Eddery has taught workshops for many years for a private art academy and through her own teaching company, Nichola Eddery Atelier.  Nichola is now offering a masterclass at the Bingham hotel to infuse a unique learning experience in a beautiful setting and allow you to learn traditional drawing whether you are a complete beginner or a more advanced artist.  The lesson will involve learning her step-by-step approach, which includes how to start a drawing and achieve a clearer understanding of proportion, structure, form, value and a likeness through the line and tonal gradation.  You will also receive a brief history of traditional art training plus a demonstration.
