Drawing Materials for Workshop, Short Courses, Private Tuition and Online lessons
Each student should bring the following to class:
Essential materials for a workshop and short courses:
H, HB & 2B conte graphite pencils
putty rubber (the grey one)
Enclosed Sharpener (that collect sharpening)
A4 or A3 sketchbook or sketchpad (smooth paper)
Stump
For a block booking and a short course Nichola recommends:
A3 sketchbook or an A3 drawing paper on an art foam board (make sure you have two sheets of paper the same size under your chosen drawing paper and either use masking tape or use two drawing board clips to keep the paper in place). Recommended paper Strathmore pad
Extras, but worth buying for a short course:
pencil rubbers (1 x hard and 1 x soft)
For trying Red chalk or graphite on toned paper:
Cretacolor Sanguine pencil
HB & 2B conte graphite Pencil
Cretacolor white chalk pencil
A4 or A3 sketch pad of toned paper - Strathmore or Sennelier are good.
Stools, ruler and a knitting needle (used for measuring) will be provided at the museums
